Monsignor Kieron Kennedy
Monsignor
Kieron Kennedy, Episcopal Vicar for Family and Social Affairs for the Diocese
of Ossory and Director of Kilkenny Social Services. He is also Parish Priest of
the Parish of Freshford. Dublin born, he studied for the priesthood in Rome,
where he was director of the Irish Holy Year Office after ordination in 1974.
Since then he has missioned in St. Canice's Parish, Kilkenny(1976-1978),
London in Housing Aid and Homelessness (1978-1983), St.Kieran’s College ,
Kilkenny as Administrator/Bursar (1989-2004) , College President (2004-2012)
and the Administrator in St. Mary's Cathedral (2012-2018) with the late
Bishop Seamus Freeman.
